Introducing the University of Illinois Pride Alumni Network

Dear Illinois Community,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the University of Illinois Pride Alumni Network—a new initiative dedicated to fostering connection, celebration, and advocacy among 2SLGBTQIA+ alumni, students, faculty, and staff of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and their allies..

Our mission is to foster a vibrant, affirming, and inclusive community that uplifts 2SLGBTQIA+ voices and experiences across generations. Rooted in Illinois pride and a shared commitment to equity and justice, we celebrate our diverse identities and honor the legacy of queer resilience. Through mentorship, advocacy, and philanthropy, we are building a future where every member of our community can thrive—on campus and beyond.

This group was formed in recognition of both our shared history and our collective power. Whether you’re a longtime alum, a current student, or a supportive ally, there is a place for you in this growing network. Together, we aim to strengthen bonds, cultivate leadership, and create lasting change for 2SLGBTQIA+ alumni everywhere.

We invite you to join us as we begin this exciting new chapter. Stay connected for upcoming events, engagement opportunities, and ways to support and shape this important work.

Want to get involved?  E-mail us, or simply fill out this Google form!  There will be lots of ways to participate.  As just a few examples, serving in various leadership positions (e.g., on the board of directors, or chairing a committee), volunteering on a committee, organizing a project or activity, producing an event, or simply contributing ideas for the future.
